When Guro Grytli Seim and her team set out to professionalize learning and compliance at Hexagon Purus, she knew static slide decks and dense PDFs wouldn't match the energy of a company driving the green transition. As People & Culture Project Director based in Oslo, Guro stepped up to pioneer a modern, human-centered L&D strategy for their workforce across Norway, Germany, and North America. To bring her and her team’s vision to life, she discovered CreateUpon’s agentic content creation.
"What I really like with CreateUpon is to both get that support for design, accessible language, and translations. A user-friendly tool for both the author and for the learner; user-friendly, nice-looking, and easy to use."

By partnering her leadership with CreateUpon’s agentic content engine, Hexagon Purus breathed new life into dense materials—turning static legal policies into interactive digital experiences, including a flagship Code of Conduct that wowed external legal auditors, dissolved team bottlenecks, and made global translation effortless.
The Challenge: Navigating Lean Resources and Global Scale
For Guro, balancing L&D alongside high-stakes responsibilities like annual and sustainability reporting meant her time was constantly stretched. Working in a lean team, Guro found herself facing an operational backlog as course creation requests stacked up.
"We are at the bottlenecks now... because we have been kept so thin," Guro explains. "I have a very broad role where learning and development is one of them."
Guro also recognized that the traditional way of sharing knowledge wasn't serving their people. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) were full of valuable knowledge, but lacked the design tools to make it digestible. "Subject matter experts, they're not necessarily design experts, so they typically have a PowerPoint presentation that’s not very user-friendly, nor is it very beautiful to look at," Guro notes. "The challenge before was the unengaging formats of the learning content that we had."
With mandatory global rollouts on the horizon, Guro needed a way to take the weight out of the process—delivering compliant, multi-language content to everyone from assembly line workers to board members without getting bogged down in manual design.
The Solution: CreateUpon as Hexagon Purus’s AI Tool of Transformation
Refusing to let capacity limit quality, Guro introduced CreateUpon to empower both her team and internal SMEs. The effortless agentic content creation allowed Guro to skip the intimidating blank page, freeing up room to create by instantly turning raw text and legacy PowerPoints into clean, interactive courses.
"CreateUpon’s translation is a big win—big, big win for us because we're a global company," Guro highlights, noting how easily content opened up for their international teams in German and beyond.
What mattered most to Guro, however, was maintaining control over compliance. CreateUpon enabled her to lock the AI strictly to verified internal source documents, ensuring every generated module stayed 100% true to legal requirements.
"I really like that close control... I set the limits of what is used as input," Guro emphasizes. "We really find that knowing what content and sources that CreateUpon’s AI has been utilizing is super helpful for us."
The tool was also so natural to adopt that Guro didn't even have to host formal training sessions: "It's so intuitive. I haven't even needed to do onboarding with colleagues because I can just give them a user login and they create courses by themselves."
A Personal Milestone: Redefining Compliance Training
The defining moment of Guro’s new approach came with the overhaul of Hexagon Purus’s global Code of Conduct. Driven by CreateUpon, Guro turned a requirement into a welcoming experience—transforming what could have been a dry legal document into a dynamic learning journey complete with an embedded CEO video, quick checks, and practical scenario quizzes.
The result was a breakthrough that gave Hexagon Purus an immediate, measurable lift in engagement—and earned Guro’s team major professional validation.
"Our legal partner who reviewed it before we published it, they said, 'Wow.' They had never seen such a good Code of Conduct training," Guro shares proudly. "They have seen many Code of Conduct courses, but they were very impressed."
By taking charge of Hexagon Purus’s L&D vision and anchoring it with CreateUpon, Guro has built a scalable, intuitive learning culture that keeps her global colleagues connected, compliant, and empowered.
